Taveuni March 20-22 2014

Views from the air on our flight to Taveuni

This is the airport landing strip!
Kind of short, but we were in a small plane!

                                               David is just another flower
in the Marigold patch by the missionary flat!

It's a tough life at the resort!

                                     We hiked in to swim

                                         "Salt Lake Valley"

Even though they have chairs, the sisters
refer to sit on the floor to eat their refreshments!
That is the way they do it at home!

                                   Birthday cake--representing the temple.
Top layer is heart shaped representing the

Trip to Labassa and Savusavu

Our trip to Labassa and Savusavu Fiji
March 5-7, 2014

(For our Wadsworth Family)When inspecting the first flat in Labassa
David encountered the first tractor we have seen in Fiji.
So he took the opportunity to jump inside!

The view from our hotel in Savusavu.

Inspecting a flat in the village of Nabua. Wish I would have taken a picture of the flat.
It was just  a little square box next to the church made out of plywood and tin!
But I was drawn to the beautiful beach.  It was getting dark,
or I would have jumped on to the raft!

Sister Howard and Sister Walker admiring Sister Walker's shell collection
from the beach nearby.  The Walker's home was like a mountain cabin
without a lake but with the ocean view!

On the beach near the Walker's home.

Zone conference with the Northern Zone in Savusavu.
When it was over, we had a tailgate pizza party on the grass!

Me with the primary kids.  Not too great of a picture,
but we had a lot of kids at primary that day!

Saturday lunch at the Raintree Forest Resort
with a bunch of great Senior Missionary couples!

Some pics of the downtown market place.
More that an acre full of fresh fruits and vegetables!
