Sister Chong (Kauai, Hawaii), also affectionately known as the companion to
Cheech (Sister Matheson) by Elder Terry, when she was a Sister Training Leader!
We worked closely with Elder Hyde (Canada) who was an AP
Goodbye to two wonderful Senior Sister Missionaries who we worked
closely with in the office.  Sister Newsom served as the mission financer
and Sister Limburg served as the mission nurse.  We enjoyed working with
them in the office.
Departing senior dinner for Sisters Newsom and Lindburg at Cafe 30.
It ended up being a candle light dinner as the power was off that night!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Celebrated with the Suva Zone for winning the flat inspections!
Reward:  breakfast at the Terrys.  Missionaries can always come up with some entertainment!
Elder Cashen celebrated his birthday and was given a Liahona Lei!
Elders Mogologa and Rainsdon are great entertainers.  Sister Heitonga, from Tonga taught us a Tongan game!  AND the Super Dooper Soap Suds Salesman lives on!  The only problem is, these missionaries didn't quite get it-they never heard of washing diapers!

New Year's day excursion to the Nasouri Highlands to check out
a new flat for the the Navatuyaba Elders.
Beautiful countryside.  We even found the little blue LDS chapel.
The sidewalk was a missionary project.

December 2014

The mission is not all play!
Had to pull this mission van out of a muddy situation!

Goodbye to Elder Rylan Olsen (Canada)
We worked with him for 9 months in the office as he served as AP

December farewells to
Elders Corder, Tyler, Olsen, Peterson, Vaai, Schofield, & Johnson
Sisters Tuahiva, Wright, & Crowell

December also brought goodbyes to Elder LeeRen
and Sister Beverly Walker from Middleton, Idaho.
Savusavu is a much better place because of their service!

Fun day at Christmas Zone Conference for the Suva, Suva North, and Nausori zones

The lunch of choice for zone conference-Jojis Chineese.
of course lunch always comes with the phone!

Gingerbread house competition at zone conference
They are made of casava, breakfast crackers, and coconut!

More zone conference fun with acting out Christmas carols and relays!
Office Staff Christmas Party at  the Grand Pacific Hotel.
There were very large prawns on the buffet...
Not sure there were any left after Elder Terry was there!

Sister Wells and I in the lobby of the Grand Hotel.
This was a real gingerbread house!

We kept our Christmas tradition of Scones, honey butter, eggs and sausage (Spam in Fiji)
Thanks to our Fijian Senior Couple Family!
Some sight seeing on Boxing day
(The day after Christmas)  It's a holiday too!
I love these flowers, they are so interesting!

A view of the Suva Harbor from Lami Town.

This is what they do for fun in the villages!

This is where it is not so fun...The Fiji Prison in Suva!
