Labasa Visit 5/2/14

David and Willie, his home teaching companion.
He has received his mission call to Tacoma, Washington.
He leaves in July.

The sunset was beautiful that day...very pink.
By the time I got the camera out,
it was fading quickly.
(just happened to walk out of the office at the
same time as Sister Klingler!)

This is where the Naduna Branch meets (near Labasa)
Pretty sure they could use some new tarps which they
drop down when it rains!

This picture was taken on our way to the beach near Labasa
on the island of Vanualevu.
It really shows the difference in the scenery from the island of Viti Levu
where Suva is located.

It's rice season!  They lay out their rice on the ground after it is cut,
then walk on it and rake it to harvest the rice.

Pictures from Korovatu Beach near Labasa
The coconut grove is very beautiful...but be careful walking through there!

David said he found a beach house and a boogie board...
all he needs for the beach!

Everything purple...even the outhouse!
It's interesting that the outhouses are always
located closest to the road!
